What is gorgeous, ruffled and often completely battered? The Pacific Northwest oyster and mussel shells! I call this section the oyster plus section because sometimes I use oyster shells, but other times I create with mussel shells or even genuine seaglass.
These shells are ethically sourced from the Dungeness Spit in Washington state, cleaned and sanitized before use. I pick them up on my walks on our local beaches.
Materials: This artwork can be displayed on a table or hung on a wall. The backs on each piece are finished with a colorful paper backing and sawtooth hanger.
As with all handcrafted items slight imperfections may be present. While the canvas edges are smooth, the actual artwork is made with crushed glass and should be handled carefully.
As much as possible, photos are taken in natural light to represent the product color in its truest form, although colors may vary slightly based on the type of screen you use for viewing.
A high quality, high gloss epoxy covers the surface of each piece for that gorgeous modern look. The brand of resin used is non-toxic and is chemically engineered to offer the most efficient yellowing protection on the market. Its advanced stabilization additives provide superior, long-term clarity.
